DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN SKOPJE

Meeting with the group at the airport Alexander The Great, transfer to Skopje.

DAY 2 - SKOPJE

Breakfast 
Sightseeing of Skopje city with local tour guide (3h)
Visiting the cultural and historical sites of Skopje.
Kale Fortress, The Museum of Macedonia, the church St. Spas dating from 1348 year, A stroll throughout the Old Bazaar in SkopjeThe Stone Bridge, Daut Pasha’s Bath 1489/1497 year, Kurshumli Han (Inn -  from 1550 year), the Memorial House of Mother Teresa.

Lunch and free time for shopping (3h)
Departure for Vodno Mountain
Visit of Mountain Vodno, the most popular sight for recreation of the people living in Skopje. Going up to the peak (1066 m high) by cable car. 
Return to the hotel
Free time to rest.
Dinner at the hotel and free time.

DAY 3 – SKOPJE – ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE "STOBI" – VISIT OF A WINERY -  STRUMICA 

Breakfast 
Check out from the hotel and departure to Strumica.
On the way to Strumica the first stop is at the archaeological site Stobi the largest ancient city on the Balkans, which was destroyed by the enormous earthquake that struck it in the 6th century A.D. 
Visit of a winery with presentation of the wine production process, wine tasting and lunch. 
Arrival in Strumica and accommodation in a hotel. 
Free time to rest. 
Visit of the monastery Vodoca and the center of Strumica city. 
Vodoca is the name of the village located 5 kilometers from Strumica. The monastery is dedicated to Saint Leontius. In the area is the new church and the ruins of the original church. There are some frescoes from the 11th century. Vodoca is magnificent medieval center of the metropolitans of Strumica. Monastery that holds the remnants of several ancient churches since the 7th century, on whose foundations is built the beautiful temple dedicated to the Saint Leontius in the 11th century, and to Eleusa. This is a site where more than 1.000 medieval tombs were discovered alongside with jewelry and ceramics from the 14th century - one of the richest archaeological sites in Macedonia. The mountain surrounding intensifies its spiritual beauty and makes this church different in every season of the year. Parts of the church were rebuilt in the 11th and 12th centuries with some renovation performed in the 20th century. Frescoes from the 11th century still exist. According to a Hylendar act, this monastery is considered a bishops residency in the Strumica region. It is claimed that in this monastery St. Clement held education and worship. Not far from here, near the local school, is the Struma Tomb. Today, the Vodoca monastery is open to visitors and they have quarters for monks and residential quarters for the visitors.

Kolesino Waterfall near Strumica. 

It is enchanting in every season. During the summer it will refresh you with its clean mountain air, and in winter it will astonish you with its frozen beauty. It is found at an elevation of 610 meters on the Baba River in the heart of the Belasica Mountain, surrounded by maple trees and stone cliffs. The water of this waterfall falls from the height of 19 metres. Imagine walking through a forest on a relaxing sunny afternoon hike. It is a pleasant day and the temperatures in the mountain village are cooler and the air is more refreshing than the heat of the valley.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 4 – STRUMICA – BITOLA – OHRID

Breakfast 
Check out from the hotel and departure to Ohrid. 
Stop in Bitola for a sightseeing of the city and the archaeological site "Heraclea Lyncestis" nearby. 
A walk along the old and well known Sirok Sokak (Broad Street), where the Consulates of European countries were located at the time of the Ottoman Empire.
Gazi Haydar - Kadi Mosque - dating from 1561. Its perfect proportions and their ideal harmony make it a splendid example of the classical style in the Islamic architecture in Bitola.
Yeni Mosque - it was built in 1558 and is well known for its exquisite decorative ornaments and stalactites.
St. Demetrius – built in 1830, a cathedral which is well known for its wood carved iconostasis and ecclesiastical furniture.
A visit of the archeological site Heraclea Lyncaestis.
Heraclea Lyncaestis complex, founded by Philip II of Macedon and one of the best preserved antique sites in the Balkans. The city was named after the mythological hero Hercules or Heracles, a hero of the Macedonian Argidian Dynasty. Heraclea existed and developed for more than thousand years, experiencing revivals in the Roman period and in late antiquity. It was also an Episcopal centre in the Early Christian period. Objects of great importance in this complex are the Roman Theatre and the Thermal Baths, as well as the Basilicas with their extraordinary mosaic floors and numerous archeological finds.
Departure to Ohrid.       
Arrival in Ohrid city center for a lunch in a national restaurant by Lake Ohrid.

DAY 5 - OHRID 

Breakfast 
Sightseeing of old part of Ohrid with professional tour guide (4h)
Walking through the old streets of Ohrid, passing by its traditional architecture, you will be constantly aware of its monuments to different periods of history.
At every hundred meters you will encounter significant sights such as the following:
The Ohrid Fortress - the Fortress of Tsar Samuel, the crown of Ohrid and of Lychnidos.
The Holy Mother of God (Sv.Bogorodica Perivlepta) – the Church of the Holly Mother of God Perivleptos dating from 1295, with its remarkable architecture and frescoes is one of the best known monuments of its kind not only in Macedonia, but also worldwide.
The Gallery of icons, belong to the period between the 11th and the 19th centuries.
The Antique Theatre - the oldest antique theatre in Macedonia, built for- among other things – gladiatorial combats, has been reconstructed to house theatrical performances and concerts
Plaosnik – the spiritual and cultural source of Ohrid with preserved, restored andexposed architectural remains from the period of St,Clement, as well as before and after him, an Early Christian complex with the rebuilt church of St.Clement (St.Panteleimon) and parts of the original monastic complex- the first Slavonic University, the cradle of the literacy and culture the Slavonic clergy.
St.John Kaneo - a church dating from the 13th century and situated on a rock abovethe lake is a symbol of the town, poetry engraved on a rock and well known both in Macedonia and worldwide.
St.Sophia – the cathedral church of the Ohrid Episcopate, with its outstanding architectural construction and invaluable frescoes dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.
The House of the Robev Family (panoramic view), a work of art dating from1863 and housing a significant collection of exhibits from the Ohrid area and prehistory, the antique period and the Middle Ages.
A stroll through the famous Ohrid Bazaar, visiting the old craftsmen`s workshops for pearl making, filigree and wood carving.

Lunch in a national restaurant in the old town. 
Free time for individual exploration of the city and shopping. 
Return to the hotel and free time to rest. 
Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 6 - OHRID - STRUGA – VEVCANI – ST.JOHN BIGORSKI - OHRID 

Breakfast
Sightseeing of Struga, Kalista, Vevcani with professional tour guide
Morning departure for Struga  – panoramic view of the city located on the shores of Lake Ohrid, laced with bridges, dotted with delightful architecture. The river Crn Drim flows through the heart of the city after its journeys from the springs near St. Naum through Ohrid Lake. Visit to the monastery complex Kalista - where the small cave churches are situated high in the rocks. The paintings in the churches are dating from the 14th -16th century.
The trip continues towards the village Vevcani – a large village built on a steep hillside and sheltered by a mountain. Its architecture is most appealing with many old houses and buildings of all styles and shapes. The sound of water can be heard running through channels throughout the village. It comes from the famous Vevcani Springs which have a water flow of between 400-4000 l per second.
Viewing of the typical styles of water-mills.
Lunch in a national restaurant in the village of Vevcani.
Visit of the monastery St.Jovan Bigorski in the National Park Mavrovo. 
It`s one of the most visited monasteries in Macedonia, rebuilt over the old one, that dates back to the year 1020. 
Return to the hotel in Ohrid. 
Free time & Dinner.

DAY 7 - OHRID – ST.NAUM - OHRID

Breakfast 
Free time to enjoy in the morning coffee by the lake
Departure for monastery complex St.Naum by bus or boat. (1h)
On the way to St.Naum visit the Museum on water ”BAY OF THE BONES”, reconstruction of a prehistoric pile dwelling settlement.
The monastery complex St. Naum (dated from 9th century), built by St. Naum, a disciple of St. Cyril and Methodius, and is one of the most significant monasteries in the Balkans, situated on the Macedonian-Albanian border on the west side of the attractive Mount Galicica.
